The Rodent Patrol!

Set off by a fantastic gift from my father (a painted a customized fleet of SAS/LRDG and Afrika Korps models from Rubicon in 1/56 scale), this weeks game had to be a ww2 desert raid.
I thought up a scenario and was fiddling with some vehicle rules in my mind.
The sudden abscence of Nate (he has the Nuts! Rules) meant i was cobbling together a set of simple rules that focused on the vehicles.

Dan rolls in with the LRDG to blow German stuff up.
First to go is the fuel dump.

German light armor arrives as reinforcements.
Howard arrived late and brought in a second SAS group that had been delayed by a sandstorm.

Although several vehicles were badly damaged, the British were able to destroy all the German targets for a resounding success.

Just another "Bug Hunt"?

Playtesting/Revising an old ruleset Howard was developing for a defunct game company called Alien Wars.

Euro-Force attempts to break into a bunker protected by some PutiImperials.
The Neo-Sovs occupy a ruined city, with some added defenses.

EF blasts its way thru the gate- the engineers accidentally included themselves in the blast.

A Euro chopper lands a team near the objective .
Firefights rage in all sections of the table.

Nate's EF lands in the rear of Dan's Neo Ovs, but not enough time to get to the bunker.

Figures are 28mm/30mm AT43 from Nate, ruined buildings mostly from Howard's collection  or mine and vehicles are dollar store toys cleverly modified by Mr. Whithouse.

Hobbit Hunt

We played a game using Howard's "Chainmail bikini".  Setting was Lord of the Rings, with each player controlling a band of 2 heroes and 4 henchmen.  I controlled the bad guys and had the 4 hobbits hidden on the table for the players to find and rescue.

Once more into the desert

Since I hadn't a chance to clear off the gaming table yet, we did another Colonial AGW game this week.  We did make it between British/ Egyptian  vs Mahdi just to change it up a bit.
This time the natives made it into the fort before reinforcements arrived.
