We are jolly green giants...

Further development of the modern Cadre rules, this time using Vietnam as the setting.
Howard played the US, Dan the NVA and I umpired.
Tonight's offensive is sponsored by the Chinese beer Tsing Tao.
Howard moves a tank and fireteam up the right flank road, engaging some NVA in the restaurant.
The NVA team entrenched in the restaurant slowly get whittled away.
A view from the Citadel (NVA side of table)

A second NVA team appears behind the restaurant.
On the left flank the marines are pinned down by mortar fire and can't advance.
Platoon leader steadies his troops after two casualties.
An NVA recoiled rocket team fires at the tank from it's concealed position.

A lucky hit sets the engine on fire.

Up the right flank, this Marine squad makes the deepest penetration into NVA territory but then gets suppressed by rocket fire.
The NVA MVP.
NVA mortar team.  They never hit anything , but their fire kept the flank locked up.
All in all a successful playtest.  The US didn't  capture any objective points but did cause quite a few casualties.
Game info: 28mm, home rules, figures from Empress, West Wind, Baker Company,  TAG, Battle Honors.  Tanks from Corgi.  Terrain from Old Glory, MBA, home made.
