Bongo in the Congo

Continuing to work on our modern skirmish rules.  This time set in a "Wild Geese" period.
The village

The Local Forces are moving into the village to neutralize "enemy civilian targets".

Tipped off, the Government Mercenaries rush to save them.

Local Forces (LF) break into a garage and eliminate the first target.

Mercs race down the road to the village, fanning out as they reach the buildings.

The LF lieutenant blows up one truck with an RPG.  2 mercs are caught in the blast.

The Merc commander's jeep responds with .50 caliber rounds, shredding the RPGer.

Another squad moves into Jepson's bar, turning over tables for cover.

Mercs move around the right flank of the merchants bazaar.  Dropping some LF shooting down the alley.

The LF gets into the bazaar through the back door and kills the merchant.

A close range shootout at the bazaar results in the death of the second LF leader.  The LF has been shattered by casualties,  but have eliminated most of the civilian targets in the village.  The mercenaries contract will not be renewed!
